Benevolence  

Those who serve in this area are sometimes called upon to help prepare the food for church functions. At other times they are caring for grieving families by providing a meal for family and friends to gather after the funeral service.  They also provide food baskets for those in need at Thanksgiving.

Building & Grounds

Our facilities are maintained by both paid staff and volunteers. Both skilled and unskilled volunteers are always welcome to lend a helping hand.

Card Ministry

 We can all use a word of encouragement, whether it be in the form of a thank you, praise, a prayer or even just a thinking of you. This is an organized effort of caring people who desire to make sure someone’s day becomes a bit more pleasant.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a biblically-based 12 step program for anyone seeking help for dysfunctional, compulsive, or addictive behaviors. Come and join us on the Road to Recovery.

Children’s Ministries 

Our children are an important part of our family at North Apollo Church of God. Children are loved, valued and encouraged to grow in relationship with Jesus and with each other. Regular opportunities for children to be involved in age appropriate activities are available during each Sunday morning worship gathering and on Wednesday evenings.

Communications Team

If you are a creative writer or have experience with computer skills such as Word, Publisher, etc, you would enjoy being a part of this team. It is responsible for the overall communications and publicity of our congregation’s ministries.

Connect Groups

At North Apollo Church of God a connect group is a committed group of “disciples” eager to continue in life long process of seeking, surrendering and serving God. In small groups you will develop life long friends within the family of God, people you will connect with who will love you for who you are and will journey with you in following Jesus. We have many small groups that you can connect to.

Discipleship Ministry

Discipleship is the process of developing and growing in your relationship with God. Everyone at North Apollo Church of God is encouraged to enter into this life long journey through participating in our specially designed beginning growth opportunities: “Welcome Class”, Beginning Discipleship and Doctrine” and Connect Groups.

FRONTLINE Men’s Ministry 

Encouraging, equipping, and empowering men to spiritual leadership, the FRONTLINE team is called to empower men with life-application Christian principles. They encourage men to spiritual leadership in the workplace, family, community, and church. These men are committed to fulfilling this call by presenting opportunities for spiritual growth through fellowship, mentoring and discovering God`s word. Men of all ages are invited to meet every Wednesday night in an open forum for discussion and to learn God`s mandate for our lives. FRONTLINE also sponsors events for men to get together to promote accountability and fellowship.

Greeters / Ushers

Our greeters and ushers are often the first people with whom visitors come into contact.  You will find them helping in the parking lot, greeting at our main entrances, serving in our worship services and at our Information Center.

Kid’s Closet

Kid’s Closet is a ministry held on the second Saturday of every month in our Family Life Center.  Here families can find gently used children’s clothing and receive a meal at no cost. Also, while adults shop, a supervised craft room is available for the children. This ministry also provides help for fire victims, Christmas gifts, school supplies, as well as formal gowns and dresses for young girls.

Library/ Reading Room

Check out our wide variety of books and videos that will help you be transformed by renewing your mind. Our library is located in room number 16. 

Meal Ministry

A ministry of God’s love wrapped around meals. This ministry is offered to families with a newborn, someone coping with an illness, recovering from surgery or just facing some difficult times. 

Men’s Adult Fellowship

Every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. men gather at the Church for a time of fellowship, prayer and Bible study.  

Music & Worship    

Music plays an important part in our worship services.  If you play a musical instrument or sing, there are many opportunities for you to use your talents. 

Prayer Ministry

 In the scriptures we are instructed to pray for one another.  To encourage and help us perform this responsibility we have telephone and email prayer chains for you to share your prayer concerns or receive those of others.

Prime Timers

We meet once a month for breakfast, and support each other through fellowship. If you are 55 or older, we want to welcome you to our group!

Sports Ministry

Our goal is to glorify Christ through sports and recreation. A variety of athletic fellowships are available for your participation such as co-ed softball, volleyball, basketball, karate and fitness classes.

Ministry of adult and childrenclasses are offered during each Sunday morning worship services

Women  - Care N Share

This ministry is for women of all ages. The Women of the Church of God is a mission’s ministry that supports many callings locally and around the world, as well issues that woman face daily. Care N Share gatherings include spiritual enrichment, fellowship and fun. Times of specific events and opportunities for women to connect are announced regularly.

Women - Quilters and Crafters

Women can put their skills and creativity to good use by making crafts and quilts to be sold to support missionprojects around the world.  This group meets every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Youth Ministries

Our Youth at North Apollo Church of God are an integral part of our church family. There are many differentopportunities for young people ages 12 to 18 to get connected and grow in relationship with Jesus and with each other. Regular opportunities for youth to be involved are available on Wednesday evenings, during the first worship gathering on a Sunday morning and on Sunday nights. Our youth have many opportunities during the year to attend other events designed for them. There is also a youth band for anyone with musical talent.
